Lars Hanson, a Hammersmith in the Norwegian mountain village of Bjergland, has grown tired of merely going through the motions of life. Every day he sees the mountain that stands at the edge of the village—a monument to the dangers associated with risk-taking. But with fear controlling the other villager's lives, Lars decides to break tradition and discover what truths the mountain may hold for him. During his climb up the side of the mountain he meets Solveig, a wise, elderly woman who has been waiting for someone to arrive from the village—someone she can begin mentoring on how to awaken the slumbering souls down below. Lars agrees and begins a journey toward understanding what it means to have an intimate relationship with God and how this knowledge can greatly influence the people around him.

PILGRIM is about rising above the day-to-day grind to find a way of life full of meaning and significance. It is about risking what other people think to become the person you have dreamed you could be. It is about accepting responsibility in relationships in order to find the intimacy you have been looking for. It is about making a connection with the Source in order to receive life, and then giving it away to everyone around you.
